Heill Yang
After graduating ESMOD Paris, Heill Yang joined the design studio of Torrente Haute Couture where he designed collections for Madame Mitterrand, former first lady of France.
Then he worked for Ted Lapidus and Jean Claude Jitrois in Paris. Later, he was appointed creative director for Paco Rabanne in Korea.
After this professional journey, he went back to Paris and worked for « Morgan ».
His experience in Paris extended his creative universe and he launched « DND » in 2003.
It allows him to cover all the main trade shows such as PAP Paris, FAME, IGEDO, MAGIC, Hong Kong Fashion Week, Tokyo Fashion Week.
All these experiences allowed him to strengthen his identity and decided to launch his eponymous label « HEILL » in 2012.
In 2013, he was awarded « Designer of the year » at the Best Dresser Award in Korea.
In 2014, the label “HEILL” was awarded «Promising brand of the year».
His collections were also worn by the First Lady of South Korea Madame Kim Jung-Sook.
His pattern work with Korean folk art “Minhwa” helped him to win the name of “Minhwa designer”. Since 2017, he is showing his collection in Paris Fashion Week. His ambition is to create a global approach where Korean art (Minhwa), design and fashion are united.
